Please call us at 717.898.8020 to reserve a class or email us at info@flyingfibers.com. A 50% deposit along with completed registration form for the course is required within three days of your reservation or your seat cannot be guaranteed. A full refund will be given if you cancel prior to two weeks before the start of your class. Otherwise a refund can only be given if we can find a replacement for you.

Spinning Lessons for Beginners

Instructor: Ellen Anderson Have you always wanted to learn to spin your own yarn? Spinning lessons are approximately three hours and are given one-on-one or take the class with a friend and learn together. You will begin by learning fiber preparation techniques, and then learn to spin on a drop spindle, followed by learning to spin on a wheel (we have wheels for you to use, or bring your own). By the time class is over you will have your first skein of 2-ply yarn to take home, along with your very own drop spindle to continue spinning.

Dates: Scheduled on a one-on-one basis, dates & times flexible. Mondays thru Sundays. Call to schedule.
Please Note: Ellen will be having foot surgery mid June, so schedule your lesson soon if you'd like to learn before summer. She will resume teaching as soon as possible

Cost: $60.00 per person. All materials and use of wheels included.

Full-Day Beginning Knitting

Instructor: Jeri Robinson-Lawrence
Have you always wanted to learn how to knit but didn't have time? This beginning knitting class is completed in one day. This condensed class will teach you everything you need to know to make a simple skinny scarf. You will learn how to cast on, knit, purl and bind off. Requirements: an interest in learning how to knit.

Date: Call to schedule a class time for yourself or your small group.

Class Fee: $75.00 per person. All materials (needles, yarn and pattern) included

Beginning Weaving

Instructor: Jeri Robinson-Lawrence
Fascinated by woven fabrics and want to give it a try? Consider taking a one-on-one weaving class where you will learn how to choose and evaluate fibers, calculate yardage, dress the loom, weave and finish a product. Opportunities are available to work on a tabletop loom or a floor loom.

Dates: Varied, scheduled individually. Offered in one-day, weekends, and evening's sessions, or spread across several weeks. We will work with you to meet your scheduling needs.

Cost: $75.00 per person for tabletop loom, $150.00 per person for floor looms.

Beginning Crochet

Instructor: Jeri Robinson-Lawrence This beginning crochet class is a one-day session in which you will learn the basics of crochet and make a small washcloth or table trivet.

Date: Sunday, Call to schedule a time for you or your small group.

Class Fee: $40.00 per person. Includes materials (yarn, hook and pattern).
