Farming Lavender
The joys of farming lavender help complete our sustainability mission. In addition to being wonderful for the pollinators, our 450+ lavender plants give us buds to make our farm collection skincare products and beautiful sachets to help preserve knitted wool garments. In addition we offer U-Pick in the harvest month of June.

Many knitters struggle with getting their gauge right or counting stitches in a gauge swatch. Katrinkles is always thinking about how to make things easier when knitting or crocheting. Which is why they developed a new Gauge Wheel that really makes it simple to get quick and accurate gauge swatch readings.
No more counting, or recounting when you lose your place. With this new Gauge Wheel, all you have to do is hold the windows up to your swatch and get the points to match up between the stitches. Turn the tool until your stitches line up perfectly. Once you have the right size, you can use the key above the window on the tool to tell you the gauge, instead of having to count how many stitches. Even better, it works for both knit and crocheted swatches.

Who We Are
Stitched together with a common love : wool
Flying Fibers is brought to you by the mother-daughter team of Jeri Robinson-Lawrence and Irina Lawrence Mathias. They honor and celebrate diversity and inclusion while welcoming everyone to their little corner of the world. Both women are passionate about providing beautiful fiber products to crafters of any skill, as well as promoting the preservation of rare breed sheep. In addition to owning the shop, Jeri and Irina have a flock of North American Wensleydale, endangered Leicester Longwool, and rare breed Shetland sheep just outside the shop window on their farm in York County, PA. Flock yarns are always available along with yarns they manufacture and hand-dye including Yorkshire Medley, a DK and Fingering weight yarn that is a blend of Wensleydale and Blue Faced Leicester, and Seadale, a worsted weight yarn composed of Wensleydale and Manx Loaghtan. Also, in the shop are products from Harrisville Designs, Imperial Yarns, Kelbourne Woolens, West Yorkshire Spinners, and more! They also provide the hand spinner and felter with the largest selection of roving in Central Pennsylvania. These two women are extremely passionate about the fiber arts and are regularly willing to share their knowledge and expertise with whoever desires.
